Point of care testing has proven the point. Rural GP and Rural Hospital Doctor, working for Hauora Hokianga based at Rawene Hospital since 2003. (Very) part time Clinical Lecturer, University Otago helping to convene the Rural and Provincial Hospital Medicine Diploma. Also involved in teaching under- graduates from Auckland University and GP trainees. Particular interests include improving the interface of rural communities with secondary and tertiary healthcare and improving the healthcare of disadvantaged rural communities.
